With over a decade of experience in primary and secondary education in traditional public school districts and equal experience in community schools, Dr. TK Kuykendall serves as the Coordinator of Data, Data Systems, and State Reporting at Lakewood City Schools. Dr. Kuykendall also serves as adjunct faculty at Cleveland State University, College of Education and Human Services. The combination of practical, technical, and research experience at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels make Dr. Kuykendall a highly skilled and uniquely positioned individual.

Coordinator, Lakewood CSD

February 2015 - Present

Manage the Data Accountability Department, a team of three to four individuals. Coordinate the collection, maintenance, and reporting of district data in accordance with state requirements. Manage the student information system. Innovate solutions for increasing assess to data, including primary data system integration with third-party programs. Re-imagine and redesign processes for efficiency. Convert paper processes to electronic processes. Serve as a consultant and collaborator for interdepartmental initiatives.

EMIS Coordinator, Westlake CSD

Coordinated the collection, maintenance, and reporting of district data in accordance with state requirements. Managed the student information system.

Supported and managed compliance coordinators. Maintained and distributed a compliance calendar and timeline of events for the network. Provided system support for the student information system and other state reporting systems. Reviewed new rules and regulations.

Monitored and audited the work of eleven student data specialists/EMIS coordinators. Trained and assisted new student data specialists/EMIS coordinators in the collection and maintenance of their student information systems. Processed and submitted data, for seven K-8 schools, and four high schools, to the Ohio Department of Education for all major reporting periods. Traveled to schools as needed to provide support to individual specialists/coordinators. Maintained and increased knowledge of state reporting rules and regulations through the ITC and ODE training and workshops. Managed, updated, and maintained the collection and reporting of student data including demographics, test scores, courses, attendance, etc. Worked closely with school administration, teachers, students, and corporate staff to collect and report accurate and timely student data. Registered and enrolled students at the drop-out recovery program. Implemented and managed the finger scanning operation and student sign-in sheets for more efficient record keeping of student attendance. Prepared for and assisted with internal and ODE student enrollment and attendance audits.

Managed the office for two community schools. Updated and maintained Community School ADM System and School Enrollment Options System. Updated and maintained the Education Management Information System (EMIS). Served as an internal auditor for the School Nutrition Program.
